Rules

A laboratory can be a dangerous place because of chemicals, fire, or glass. That is why special safety rules exist to protect everyone. Here are the most important rules to remember: Clothes: You must always wear safety goggles. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required. If you have long hair, tie it back when using fire. Behavior: Never eat or drink in the lab. Do not touch or taste any chemicals. If you want to smell something, use your hand to "waft" the air towards your nose. Cleanliness: Keep your backpacks and coats off the tables. Always wash your hands before you leave the lab. Emergency: Learn where the fire extinguisher and eye-wash station are. If there is an accident, tell your teacher immediately.
