BELOVED EYES

Oh, sweet and beloved eyes of mine, A crystal tear has frozen in your sight, You try so hard to hide it from the light. No need to hide — I love you all the same, Even if this feeling’s one-way flame. It feels as though I’ve known you long ago, All my life I’ve lived with dreams, alone, so. Once, hundreds of years ago, it’s true, We were together, bound by passion’s hue. In that faint gleam of phantom happiness. Fate and destiny, the ages parted us, Whirlwinds tore us from each other’s trust. But now we’re reunited, hand in hand, No heat, no dark, no blizzard can withstand. We’ll walk through storm, through cold, and through the flame, Love will save us — just as it has tamed. A holy winged horse will bear us to the Sun, With you, we’ll be a single, shining spark, Having passed through creation’s very start. Oh, darling, open wide your arms to me — Let enchantment make us lose sanity!
