Silver Pavement

City lights are bleeding silver On the pavement after rain. Like a pulse inside my veins. There’s a fire in the distance, Burning somewhere out of sight. And I wonder if you’re thinking Of my name tonight. Every word hangs in the balance, Every glance could change the air. I have built a thousand walls, But somehow you are standing there. I was never scared of darkness, Never scared of being alone. I was only scared of finding Something feeling like a home. So if my hands are shaking, It’s not weakness, it’s the moment When you finally let it show. And if the stars stop turning, I would still be right here For every choice we made. We are echoes learning sound. And for once, I am not searching, I am finally being found.
